CREATING A SUSTAINABLE APPROACH ON ALCOHOL TESTING WITH FOCUS OF REPLACING SINGLE USE PLASTIC MOUTHPIECES.
Dräger came to us to make their alcohol equipment more sustainable. The focus here was on the mouthpieces, which are made of plastic and generate a lot of waste within one working day. My approach was to choose a material that is already widely used for single-use plastic -> Pasta dough
The resources needed for this mouthpiece are available regionally and, in contrast to PP, they also have a significantly smaller ecological impact.
Pasta dough is suitable for injection moulding.
